Siam Butterfly Farm is located in one of the foremost natural breeding grounds for insects in Northern Thailand and Wiang Kosai National Park is on our doorstep. Since we are located only 1.5 km from the border of the park, you have close and easy access to explore this natural breeding ground.
Siam Butterfly Farm is a small guesthouse and working butterfly farm with only 3, separate double bedrooms. This enables everyone to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and tranquility in their own way.
Local guides are available to enhance your experience of the surrounding areas.
Insect collecting lights and white sheeting are provided on request in the evenings for insect collectors or photographers.
Siam Butterfly Farm is located in a quiet, rural setting and there is plenty of space on the farm to have a wander around, relax, and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and great views. The ever-changing selection of wonderful butterflies and flowers and insects makes for some great photo opportunities.
We love showing ,guests what we do here and have found that it is always an educational and enjoyable experience for all ages. We are happy to give you a guided tour of the farm.

The wonderful natural world, great scenery and amazing rural Thai village life offer a wealth of subjects for photographers. Within the grounds of Siam Butterfly farm, you will find many varied "collecting & photography" sites and we are more than happy to help point you in the right direction.
Our guesthouse is also great for just unwinding & relaxing in our wonderful surroundings, visiting the local attractions, meditation, writing or just escaping from all the maddening crowds.
Our outdoor sitting and BBQ area is a great place to just unwind and watch the butterflies and other small wildlife go by. To compliment this relaxation, one of our Trained village masseurs can be brought in for a traditional Thai massage at your request.

No matter what the weather the bbq and bar area offer a great spot to just sit back and let your troubles go away.

HOME COOKED THAI FOOD.
We offer Bed and Breakfast and fully inclusive here at our guesthouse. We offer simple Home Cooked Thai food, which can be ordered spicy or not, according to your taste. Many guests say they would come back just for the food and beautiful surroundings. We grow our own vegetables and herbs organically in the garden just steps away from our kitchen. If you would like to bring your own drinks and food, that is not a problem. OTHER FACILITIES For the insect collectors we can offer the following. A Drying oven is available to rent, and we can also Supply a Post and Packing service so that you don't have the hassle of taking them with you. Fruit traps are available to rent, and we can supply "ripe" fruit and fish etc. Traditional Thai massage is available by one of our Trained village masseurs and can be arranged on request.
OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES.
Walking opportunities in the local surrounding area are great. Having the wonderful Wiang Kosai National Park border only 1.5km up the quiet village road, means you can easily explore the invigorating cool mountain stream and its amazing surroundings but still be close to "Home" and its comforts. This is a good walk for taking photographs, observing the insect life, and just enjoying nature. It can be done on your own or with one of our village guides. Mae Chok Hot Springs are only a 15-minute drive away and are a great way to relax and rejuvenate with the natural hot Springs.
EXCURSIONS.
If you would like to explore the surrounding area by vehicle, here are a few ideas of ours. There is a very nice one day trip on a circular route to Phrae, Den Chai and back. We will provide a map that lists local places of interest, information about each site, and a good restaurant in Phrae for you to have lunch. Lampang, (a tour of the city in an old-fashioned pony cart, plus a visit to a famous old Thai temple, a pottery, etc.). The Thai Elephant Conversation Center in Lampang. Sukothai, a former capital of Thailand and a great historical site.
